Addy turns one!!

I'm so sad that I won't be seeing little Addison every few months...I can't believe she's already a year old!!  She's grown from a tiny little peanut to a completely adorable teetering one year old :)  A big thanks to her parents for letting me photograph her 1st year...she is a sweetheart and has been such a joy!

Kendall is one!

This sweet little girl is the daughter of the u/s tech that works Fridays for me.  Her mom is beautiful and so sweet, so it was a joy to get to meet & photograph little Kendall.  We met up one Sunday at Aldridge Gardens & battled the extreme heat & humidity!  It was worth it though...just check out those baby blues ;)  Thanks Lauren for letting me photograph your sweet girl!!

Baby E

I'm not going to lie...I was super nervous about this shoot.  As most photographers know, it's best to photograph newborns in the first two weeks of life, preferably day 5-10.  Well, this little guy was going to be 4 weeks at our scheduled shoot.  At this stage, babies tend to be more alert & squirmy, don't fold up as well, and newborn acne & colic (if they're going to have it) have set in.  BUT this little guy was absolutely perfect!  All that worrying for nothing ;)  He did have several more awake periods than my typical newborn & he wasn't quite as bendy as I'm used to, but he did so great & let me get my favorite poses.  It just took a little extra coaxing, but it was totally and completely worth it!! :)  Thanks so much to his mom & dad for allowing me to photograph him!  You'll be seeing a lot of him because he's one of my baby planners so I'll be seeing him again @ 6, 9, & 12 months! 

 

Class of 2012

In honor of her last first week of school, I'm adding Kelsey's blog post.  She was such a trooper for this shoot, because she had just twisted her ankle two days before!  And I'm talking swelling, bruises, & crutches twisted that ankle!  She braved the heat and hobbled and crutched her way all around downtown Collinsville for me, and  I love the way her images turned out.  Such a beautiful girl!  Thanks Kelsey for allowing me to photograph you!  I very much enjoyed the change of pace from babies & toddlers ;)

Mamas lock up your daughters....

...'cause this little guy is going to be breaking hearts all across the south.  He is seriously one of the most handsome little boys I've ever seen.  Those big brown eyes, long lashes, & curls just melted my heart!  He was such a joy to photograph, and for only 4 years old was really quite the model!

I love baby smiles...

...and this little guy certainly obliged.  He was a doll...have you ever seen such perfect hair & lashes???  And those rolls...ahh such a chunky little guy.  He was perfection!
