I heart this family :)

This mama & daddy are seriously two of the sweetest, cutest people I have ever met.  I just love them.  And they have an adorable almost-two-going-on-twenty year old :)  Mom brought along her two younger sisters for them to have pictures made too...see, I told you...so sweet!!  They are getting ready to add another sweet boy to their family in the next month or so, and I cannot wait to meet him!!  If he's even half as cute as his big brother, watch out ladies!!  Here are some of my faves from our morning we spent together...

Little C turns one!

This sweet little guy braved the heat last Friday with me @ Aldridge Gardens (which is quickly becoming my favorite place to photograph kiddos...tons of photo ops and tons of shade!!).  He, like most boys, just wanted to destroy his cake instead of eat it.  Such a cutie!!

Baby E @ 5 days

I LOVE photographing newborn girls, and this girl was no exception.  I got to try out a few new headbands that I made, as well as some new props that I picked up yesterday.  This little one was so good, sleeping through every pose & only stopping once to eat.  Made my job very easy!!

I love redheads

I have always love redheads.  I don't know what it is about them...I guess because it's not the same old brown or blonde like most of us have...I have always liked "different" things, so maybe that's what the attraction is.  I love red hair so much that almost every time I have my hair colored (which is pretty regularly since I'm prematurely graying :), I always pick a color with either a hint (or sometimes a lot) of red.  I haven't seen J.D. since he was a teeny newborn...I love seeing those little babies grown into babbling toddlers.  I loved this session, especially the "smash cake" pictures.  He was such a boy...not interested in eating at all, just in making the biggest mess possible.  And when it was all said & done, he just plopped down and sat right on top of his cake :)  Too cute!   

My little island adventure...

For our anniversary trip this year Jon & I decided to go to the Turks and Caicos.  Definitely the most beautiful place I've ever been.  It was very laid back & relaxed...we definitely were super lazy on this trip.  We were worthless...mostly our days consisted of either lounging by the ocean or the pool, but we did take a couple of days to rent a car & explore the main island....I had my first experience with driving on the left side of the road w/ a right-hand drive car!  And we survived :)  Here are a few of my favorite pics from the trip:
